Western Balkans Cyber Camp – Invited to speak on panels were representatives of national CSIRTs and academia from the 6 economies of the Western Balkans.

NACS had the pleasure of having representatives of national CSIRTs and academia from the 6 economies of the Western Balkans as guests on panels.

The first panel reflected a general panorama of cyber security in the region with a special focus on youth inclusion policies.  Mr. Ilir Daka, representative of the Albanian national CSIRT, Mrs. Sajmie Thaçi, representative of the Agency of Information Society in Kosovo, Mr. Samir Orahovac, representative of the national CSIRT of Montenegro, Mr. Marko Krstic, representative of the national CSIRT of Serbia joined this panel.

In the second panel, the commitment of universities to attract as many young people as possible to the field of cyber security was discussed. Present at the panel were Mrs. Ermira Idrizi, professor at South East European University in North Macedonia, Mr. Mergim Hoti, professor at the University of Pristina, Mr. Mladen Vukašinovic, Spec.app computer science/University of Montenegro, Mr. Reis Mulita, lecturer at the Canadian Institute of Technology.

Next, Mr. Todd Spires, head of cyber security at CRDF Global spoke about the advantages of choosing a career in cyber security.
